Walking Sticks from Africa
The common African walking stick originated from
African fighting sticks. Today they form a large part
of the African Arts and Crafts industry and are made
with highly decorated handles, carved with great
skill by Master African Wood Carvers and are
highly sought after by collectors. Some of these Sticks
feature a handle area carved in the shape of an
African Statue.
Rosewood from Zambia and Ebony Wood from
Malawi are two of the most common found in South
Africa.
